WDP: 13 Months

Dear Wren,
What a 13th month you had! You started walking.  That three word sentence has changed many things around here. On December 28th, at Mimi and Buddy's house, you decided to just go for it.  You made one lap around the dining table, came back around, picked up your sippy cup, and took off again - slugging water as you walked.  I have a feeling that this walking process might be the way you do things: study, wait, watch, then give it your all!

You also cut your molars this month.  Often you want to be held close, so I really did not notice anything out of the ordinary, until there they were.

You do not talk much, though you often say Mama and Hi.  You occasionally say Dada and Nash. But, we always know what you want.  You point and grunt quite a bit.  When asked a question, you answer with full body nodding (like when we ask if you want to read an Elmo book.)  You also cry when you don't get what you want (like when all of the cottage cheese is gone.)

Wren, you are just a sweet girl.  You love to be held, to cuddle, to play, and to mimic.  You have recently started backing up into my lap to read.  I love that.

You have also started making messes, walking around and playing at parks and in the back yard, and getting into the the dog's bowls.  You love climbing and standing on top of chairs (sit down sissy!) too.

Wrenny, we love you so much.  We love your sweet faces, your  pats on the back, your sweet need to always be near.

Love,
Mom
