Her: "Hello?"
Me: "Yo."
Her: "Hello?!"
Me: "Hey, what's going on?"
Her: "Can I call you right back? My kid just shit in the shower."
Me: "Yeah, bye."
I hung up cracking up.
There are only so many people you can call in the morning on their home phones, but be prepared, a conversation like this is not uncommon.
